CHAILEASE BERJAYA FINANCE CORPORATION (CBFC) PAYMENT EXTENSION

In compliance with the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act, or Bayanihan 2, we will be implementing a mandatory one-time 60 days grace period for all existing, current (not past due) and outstanding loans falling due on September 15, 2020 to December 31, 2020. Maturity dates of the qualified accounts will be moved by 2 months. For example, if the original maturity of the loan is October 2022, now it will be December 2022.

Please be advised of the requirements to avail of the said grace period:
  • 1) A written communication to confirm the application/availment.
  • 2) Accrued interest for the duration of the payment extension will be charged and collected on or before December 2020.
  • 3) New Post-dated Checks for the extended 2 months.


Should you opt not to avail of the grace period you will not incur additional interest.
Please note that if we do not receive advice from you within the five (5) working days before your next loan due date, the application or availment of the said grace period will not proceed.

1. Who are entitled for the mandatory 60-day grace period?
Only borrowers whose accounts are in current status as of September 15, 2020 are entitled for the mandatory 60-day grace period.

2. What does the one-time 60-day grace period mean?
The one-time 60-day grace period means you may opt not to pay the amount in your first Statement of Account (SOA) due within the covered period until after 60 days.

3. Can I decide not to apply for the 60-day grace period?
Yes, you may decide not apply for the 60-days period to keep the original term of your loan and avoid payment of “accrued interest” mentioned above.
You have to notify or inform Chailease Berjaya Finance Corp. of your decision on whether to apply or not for the 60-day grace period.
